The department of dietetics ensures that every patient receives customized therapeutic diet under the watchful surveillance of the diet technicians and every food item in the hospital is served only after approval of the senior dietetians.
The Department runs a general dietetic outdoor which is a separate entity by itself, where both life style disease as well as critical clinical dietetics are available.
Free camps for community diet counselling is organised on regular basis and also arranged for the benefit of the wider mass of general people . From the present academic year 2009, MSc.(Clinical Dietetics) course will commence from this session with intake of 150 students. The department also runs internship programmes for six months(basic training) and one year(advanced training).
