>> OPD registration card can be obtained by paying the charges at the OPD Registration counter located at Central Reception, Block III.

>> Patients are seen on first come first serve basis. However, out of turn consultation may be provided in case of emergency or to senior citizens.

>> Patients are requested to please bring records of previous investigations and treatment.


>> During OPD consultation, the consultant will fill up the requisition forms for various investigations and direct/guide the patient to the concerned lab/department.

>> Sample collection centre for blood, urine, stool etc. : Room No.-016, Ground Floor.

>> Sample collection timings : 8.30 A.M. to 02.30 P.M.

>> Certain particular investigations are done on particular day only.

>> Patient should obtain the investigation report on the date/time given for collection of the same from the Report Delivery department located at Block III..

>> All the investigations are done on payment of a nominal rate. Patient should remit the payment and obtain proper receipt from the counter.

>> Depending on the work load, for certain investigations patients will be called on future dates by the concerned department. On the other hand, these may be done out of turn in urgent situations on recommendation of the treating doctors.

>> Many facilities are provided at OPD level e.g. ECG, Plaster, Injection and Immunization Room, Contraception and MTP Services, Minor Surgical Intervention, Physiotherapy, Endoscopy etc.

>> Wheel chairs, patient trolleys etc. are available free of charge at the entrance of OPD.

>> Patients requiring medical certificates should apply for the same to the Medical Superintendent, KPC Medical College & Hospital, Kolkata, who will send it to the concerned department for issuing the same..Medical Treatment/Fitness and other such certificates of admitted patients issued by the consultants will be valid only if countersigned by the Medical Superintendent.

>> There is a medical shop adjacent to the Central Reception in Block 3, where medicines are available.

>> Patients should park their vehicle in the parking area inside the hospital campus. Otherwise it might be towed away.
